The short version: Handful collects nothing. Your tasks stay on your own devices and, if you use it on more than one, sync through your own iCloud account.
None. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party code. I have no way to see your tasks.
Your tasks are stored on your device. If you use Handful on your Mac and your iPhone, they sync between them through your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so the same handful shows up on both. That keeps a copy in your private iCloud storage, which only your Apple account can reach. If you're signed out of iCloud, Handful keeps your tasks on each device and doesn't sync.
Handful goes online for two things. The iCloud sync above is handled entirely by Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy. And on the Mac, when you choose ⋯ ▸ Check for Updates…, it asks Apple's App Store which version of Handful is current. That question carries Handful's App Store ID and your Mac's region, nothing about you or your tasks, and it's never sent unless you choose that menu item.
Apart from those two, Handful doesn't go online. There's no server of mine, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
On iPhone, if you pin today's tasks, their titles show on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where anyone holding your phone can read them. Unpinning in Handful takes them off at once; otherwise iOS clears them on its own within 12 hours. The pin never leaves your iPhone.
Handful is sold through the App Store, and Apple handles the purchase under Apple's Privacy Policy. I don't get anything that identifies you.
Handful is rated 4+. It collects nothing from anyone, children included.
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
