EasyFilm is a small lineup of Mac apps made by a working filmmaker who also writes software. Every app started the same way: a real job needed something that didn't exist, so it got built — first for one production, then cleaned up enough to hand to everyone else doing the same work.
That's the whole editorial line for what makes the lineup. Not "another utility that could apply to anyone" — a specific, unglamorous problem that shows up on an actual shoot or in an actual edit bay. Cataloging drives you can't be bothered to plug back in. Cache that DaVinci Resolve leaves all over your fastest SSD. A hundred near-identical frames when you just need the one good still. A client who needs a number by tomorrow morning.
How the apps are built
Small and specific, on purpose. Each app does one job well rather than accumulating features nobody asked for.
Pay once. No subscriptions, no accounts to juggle across a whole toolkit.
Your footage stays on your Mac. CacheCut and EasyStills make no network connections at all — nothing to opt out of, because there's nothing being sent anywhere.
